Technical Theater INTERNSHIPS: headed by Jacob Lorenz & Reid Kendall
La Musica Lirica is a five week training program structured for performance artists looking to
gain hands-on training and experience, immersed in its environment, as a way to help bridge the gap between college and career; the technical theatre and design internship is no different.
This program is designed for the technically trained, college theatre student looking to gain real experience working in an international touring company. Unlike most theatrical internships, you will be a huge part of the actual creative experience. If selected, you will be given the opportunity to put your design and/or stage management skills to the test with individual projects in a wide array of venues. This is a fast-paced and challenging program that requires highly flexible candidates with multiple skills. Although there will be plenty of time to sight-see and experience authentic Italian culture, the work and professionalism expected from you is very high. Coming away from this program, you will not only have professional portfolio photos and international credit/recommendation to your resume, but you will also get a much better understanding of what it takes to work in a professional touring company - not to mention the experience!

Requirements: Interns must be 18 years or older and have a formal education or comparable experience in the field of specialty.
Computer skills are a highly preferred.
Our company operates in
English, so you need not speak fluent Italian.
But above all, a positive, productive and professional
attitude is a must.
Costs: Though your housing is paid for by La Musica Lirica, you will be responsible for
transportation (including flight), food and entertainment costs. The opportunity of free Italian courses
is also available and the production portfolio photos are also free.
College Credit: Individuals interested in using this program to obtain external college credit must arrange any necessary details and requirements with the applicant's own college or university. The company will try to accommodate to its fullest extent.
