LINDA HIRT, COACH-ACCOMPANIST: Linda Hirt is a member of the faculty at DePaul University School of Music (Chicago) where she serves as opera coach, foreign language specialist, and coordinator of the vocal division. During the summers she is actively coaching for various visiting groups of American and international singers. She studied piano with Menahem Pressler at the prestigious Indiana University School of Music, receiving the Master of Music degree Magna Cum Laude. As a concert artist, Linda Hirt made her Carnegie Hall (New York City) debut under the Auspices of the Concert Artist Guild. She has performed often on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, has recorded for Vanguard Records and German National Television, and has been heard live on radio in New York City and Chicago.
