Brian Leeper, baritone, is the Vocal Area Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he teaches Studio Voice, Vocal Pedagogy and directs the Opera Workshop. An active soloist and clinician, he has presented numerous masterclasses and recitals at Colleges and Universities across the US, as well as sessions on singing at the Illinois ACDA Men’s Choral Festival and The Association of Disciple Musicians National Summer Conference.

Equally at home with Oratorio and Opera, Mr. Leeper has performed over twenty major roles with opera companies in the US and abroad, including a national radio broadcast concert performance of Candide with the Cleveland Orchestra. He has appeared as soloist in oratorio with conductors Robert Shaw, Leon Botstein, Robert Page and Vance George. Formerly Bass Section Leader at St. Bartholomew’s Church and Madison Ave. Presbyterian Church, both in Manhattan, Mr. Leeper has also directed church choirs in nine states. In 2003, the First Baptist Church of Indianapolis Chancel Choir, under his direction, was invited to perform Mozart’s Coronation Mass at Carnegie Hall.

Mr. Leeper formerly served on the voice faculties of Butler University, Anderson University, Western Illinois University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Doane College, Operafestival di Roma and Lutheran Summer Music. His voice students have won numerous awards and competitions, and are currently singing in houses in the US and Europe. Brian holds voice degrees from Luther College and The University of Nebraska, and is currently completing the DM in Voice Performance from The Florida State University.
