Opera Division
This division is for advanced singers that are ready to begin or have already started a professional career as an opera singer. The rehearsals will be run on a professional level. During the first four weeks each participant will receive up to 20 hours of Italian per week, two half-hour weekly coachings with Rossini Opera Festival coaches and two forty-five minute voice lessons per week. During the fifth week of the program the students will be able to participate in Master Classes with the resident faculty. The operas will be double cast. Those participants cast in roles will perform two of the four fully stage performances with a professional orchestra under the direction of Maestro Joseph Rescigno.

YOUNG ARTIST DIVISION: Dennis Jesse, Coordinator and opera scenes Director
This division is for advanced singers that are ready to begin or have already started a professional career as opera singer and performer. They will be asked to perform in the three weekly concerts with an opportunity of additional concerts in additional venues with the faculty of La Musica Lirica. A select number of Young Artists will participate in four performances of the opera at theaters in the region. This opera is fully staged with costumes and piano. Participants of the Young Artist Division will present a significant opera scenes program as well. During the first four weeks, each participant will receive up to 20 hours of Italian per week, two half-hour weekly coachings with Rossini Opera Festival coaches and two forty-five minute voice lessons per week. During the fifth week of the program there will be weekly Master Classes with resident faculty. Each participant may be asked to sing in the chorus of one of the main stage operas. This is not mandatory.

Studio Division: Dennis Jesse, director
This division is for singers that are still developing their vocal and stage technique and are ready for a very challenging experience to further aid them in their development as singing actors and performers. Studio artists will begin weekly concerts after the first week. There will be an Opera Workshop class twice weekly. During the first four weeks each participant will receive up to 20 hours of Italian per week, two half-hour weekly coachings with Rossini Opera Festival coaches and two forty-five minute voice lessons per week. During the fifth week of the program there will be weekly Master Classes with resident faculty. Each participant will be cast in a scene or scenes and will sing in one or both of the choruses for the mainstage operas.

Each participant must be approved by their La Musica Lirica instructor before being permitted to perform in any concerts. Preparation is mandatory prior to arriving in Italy. All participants cast in roles must be memorized before arriving to Italy. Failure to do so will result in their being replaced.
